dc.description.abstract | The paper after introducing the theme initially discusses the challenges posed due to availability of information tools in various forms like printed-micro-digital / optical forms due to changing trends of publishing . It then presents problems in general that libraries face in their efforts to preserve the information for the future use in the light of copyright restrictions enforced to prevent the misuse of the intellectual property although libraries always try to protect them . The paper further discusses two situations specifically regarding preservation of documents received in digital form and digitization of printed documents. The paper concludes with discussion on procedures and steps involved in converting printed documents in to a digital one for preservation and describes steps towards how to put a look on -line. | en_US |
