dc.description.abstract This paper overviews electronic publishing, electronic journal, and electronic publishing programmes of ADONIS, OCLC, IEL, ACM, and Elsevier publishers. The advantages and disadvantages of electronic publishing are briefly discussed. The paper attempts to assess the impact and the implications of electronic publishing on the libraries and information centres (MICs) and their services. Issues and concerns arising out of the use of electronic publications in Libraries have been discussed. The paper also deals with digital libraries and their impact on the Libraries. en
