dc.description.abstract	The Author describes an experimental project in computerised information retrieval system for R&D projects carried out at Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI), Madras. Based on 'TEXT-PAC, the system yielded encouraging results and could be further extended to cover all aspects of problems connected with R&D work including details of projectwise costing, income through royalties and consultancy, details of equipment/appliances, deputation, training, and other related items. Based on this system, services like Technical Information Bank, CAS and SDI could be initiated.	en_US
