dc.description.abstract In this paper we present the design of a restaurant ontology, which involves a methodology, Yet Another Methodology for Ontology (YAMO). It is a hybrid approach that combines both top-down and bottom-up methods of knowledge organization. The YAMO approach is highly motivated by Ranganathan’s analytico-synthetic classification theory. This paper has also portrayed mathematically how a subpart of the restaurant ontology can be used as core ontology for the domain food. en_US
