Coordinator: Dr. Biswanath Dutta

Speaker: Ram Vishwas Chourasiya

ABSTRACT

Libraries play a crucial role in the dissemination of knowledge and information in today's digital age. To measure their effectiveness and adapt to changing user needs, libraries must employ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess their performance, streamline operations, and enhance user experiences. This seminar explores the world of KPIs in libraries, presenting best practices and assessing the current state of library performance measurement.

The seminar delves into the present state of KPIs in libraries, highlighting the challenges libraries face in an increasingly digital and data-driven landscape. Topics to be explored include the impact of emerging technologies, evolving user behaviours, and changing educational and research paradigms. The objective is to put emphasis on the comprehensive understanding of the current trends and challenges the libraries are facing as they endeavour to measure and enhance their performance. Special emphasis is put on exploring how KPIs can align library objectives with institutional goals, fostering improved decision-making processes.
